As our 9th and 10th graders enter high school, they also enter a new phase of life at camp. Our Leaders-In-Training (L.I.T.s) have the unique opportunity to enjoy camp as camper and as a life-changer. As an L.I.T., your camper will receive weekly leadership training from a variety of professionals. In addition, they will also be supervised by their own Unit Leader who helps foster leadership skills each day. L.I.T.s have the opportunity to put this training into practice as they are assigned to work with a group of campers throughout the summer.
The L.I.T.s host an annual fundraising event, The Big Give, which raises money for charities chosen by the L.I.T.s. The L.I.T.s are responsible for planning and executing the event and all related fundraising efforts.
Since L.I.T.s are still campers, they also get to enjoy all that camp has to offer including trips and overnights. While L.I.T.s are with their assigned group for a majority of the time, there is plenty of time allotted for L.I.T. group activities such as swim and cooking!
