As the premier Jewish day camp in northern NJ, CDR interweaves the excitement of summer with the magic of camp on our beautiful 35-acre facility in Flanders, NJ.
“They say it takes a village to raise a child – I say it takes CDR!” – Vivian Greenfogel, CDR Parent
We know that parents have a lot on their minds when thinking about their child’s camp experience: safety, making friends, enjoying activities, and more! Rest assured, at Camp Deeny Riback we train our staff to create positive and transformative experiences. We ensure that your child will not only gain friendships and have fun in a safe environment but will also learn important and innovative skills. Now that is something that will help you sleep at night!
Our camps incorporate the five 21st Century Skills in all aspects of camp life. We believe experiences and skills at camp contain life lessons which travel with campers as they grow older. These lessons prepare our campers to become leaders when they eventually enter the “real world.”
The fast-paced camp environment, packed with excitement and transitions, requires campers to learn how to think on their feet. Our counselors guide campers to think about the circumstances of each situation and their reactions. This allows campers to decide how to best approach each situation they are faced with. We embrace these five “super skills”:
Critical Thinking & Problem Solving | Creativity & Innovation
Communication & Collaboration Flexibility & Adaptability | Initiative & Self-Direction
These are tools campers will need to succeed! We are here to help them on their way to becoming the leaders of tomorrow while building memories and friendships to last a lifetime.
CDR is a very special place: summer after summer, our campers walk away with new skills, lasting friendships & memories for a lifetime.
We look forward to welcoming you to our camp family.
Yours in Camping,
